Torani Thursday

Today had all the makings of a pretty darned decent day…or at least that’s what I thought until about 8:30 this morning.  I checked my scale, down a comfortable 0.6 pounds from yesterday, which I was thrilled about as I skipped dinner (epic fail recipe for ground turkey casserole).  I decided to try my Torani Hazelnut again with coffee, this time was much more frugal with my dispensing of the syrup, much more generous with my measuring milk, and more patient in stirring it.  Overall it was a nice treat to have, and I fully intend to find a way to mix it with my shake and make it an iced hazelnut mocha.  I got a decent chunk of laundry done (even folded!) as I was up at 6:00 instead of 7:00 this morning, and finished up dishes from last night.  The ride to work was PERFECT weather, and I people-watched (yes while on a motorcycle) and counted about 24 folks who were doing something besides just driving and looking ahead.  only 6 of them weren’t on the phone, although I can’t say that reading the newspaper or applying makeup sounds much safer than talking on your phone while driving…just saying.

Then 8:30 happened;  I arrived at work, only to be told our air conditioner is having a “bad day” and is going to be turned off until it can re-assess its place in this company, and then I realized I didn’t have a shake mix stashed for breakfast and lunch, only one mix, and it’s hot chocolate.

Great, it’s like 80 degrees and I have to drink something hot? Are you kidding me? No, no you are not.  I mixed my hot cocoa with some instant coffee, added water and now it is decently cooled off so I can drink it without breaking out into sweats.

I am bound and determined to have a good day today though.  Our dogs have a play date with a fellow pooch, Muggsie, a pug mix this evening, Dragon’s Dogma will follow, then Suits and Burn Notice on USA (yay fav. shows!).  Alright, I’m off to learn me some website development, it’s time to take the reins for a site that will be “my baby” for the foreseeable future.  Here we go!
