So…there is a rumor on the cruiselines of the upgrade fairy. She visits you a week or two before the cruise and grants you an upgrade, for no additional cost. Well, I got sick of waiting for that bitch, hunted her down, and pinned her wings to the wall…kind of.
So here’s what REALLY happened. I’m a nerd, so I was obsessing over the cruise me and my husband are leaving for on Friday. I went to the website to see if they had any cool bonuses, like more onboard credit etc. About a month ago I went and they had free dinner at 3 of the specialty restaurants, as we’d lose $200 in onboard credit (different promotion) it wasn’t worth the price. Well, turns out that I stumbled on something much better. Our cabin cost us $1,399 / person (I knew this because I looked at it a few days ago after mentioning the price to someone and forgetting if it was right), and I see this 2 Bedroom Family Suite Cabin for $1,299 / person. I was enraged, at first. Then, I was intrigued. If the Suite was only $1,299 / person, then what was our normal cabin down to?
$899 / person. Yes, really. Our cabin price dropped $500/person in the span of a week, because these were not the prices when I was on last week. Here’s the original room we had, which I was perfectly content with:
And here is the suite we ended up in:
TV, entrance to master bedroom and dining space:

So…needless to say, I’m on cloud 9, and giddy as hell at this point. So, our room has nearly doubled in size, we now get a butler, wine, fruit, and treats, special VIP getting onto the boat (that means we board earlier, and in a shorter line, than everyone else). … well, you see the list.
I’m off to be giddy now…peace!
It’s going to be wonderful, congratulations!!!
